OBITUARY
Reg entered grade 9 at University Hill School in the fall of 1957 after his family had moved to Vancouver from Dawson Creek. He had flaming red hair and sported a black leather jacket. He had flaming red hair and sported a black leather jacket. Over the next 4 years he was a budding social convenor and established himself as a friend to all, a skill that he kept for the rest of his life. After graduating from Uhill in 1960, he entered UBC. Over the next several years he earned a BA after having done courses at UBC, CW Post in New York City, and the Univeristy of Oregon. He enjoyed the ride.
One of Reg's first jobs was a youth worker at the Alma House in Kitsilano. This provided lots of experience with troubled youth. These exepriences probably contributed to Reg's empathy for others.
After an extensive tour in Europe with his girlfriend of the day, Reg came back to BC and purchased land on Saturna Island. There he built his first home, and in the process, aquired the home-building skills that would serve him well for the rest of his working life.
He left behind four children Taylor, Caralyn, Tammy and Scott, and a much loved grandson Logan, and Layla his daughter in-law. Not to mention the millions of friends who i know will miss him.
Throughout his time on Dunbar he aquired the Title of "The mayor of Dunbar" a true testament as to the qaulity of his nature. His friends were his hobbies, he loved baseball, hockey and Monday night football. He was surround by his friends while enjoying these hobbbies.
