His burial took place at Barrancas National Cemetery, NAS Mainside, Pensacola, Escambia County, Florida. His remains were cremated and a military service was performed in his honor. His grave site is listed as SECTION 70 SITE 160.
Gary was the son of Reuel Walter Grierson Jr., & his wife, Joyce Plumier. Reuel Gary Grierson was born in Pensacola, Escambia County, Florida, grandson of Reuel Walter Grierson, Sr., and his wife, Mildred Florence Croft.
Reuel Gary Grierson's death was ruled (accidental drowning) by post mortem, he was bringing a sail boat to Inglis, Florida, at the Marina , near Crystal River, Florida, while he was docking the boat, suffered a heart attack, fell in the water and drowned.
He leaves 3 brothers, Mark Fleshner of Pensacola, Florida, David Grierson of Scotland, UK, James Grierson of North Carolina, two sisters, Denise Bradford of Alabama, and Susan of Texas.
Reuel leaves 7 children, Kevin, Jennifer of California ; Aaron, and James of Tennessee, Rachel, Benjamin and Joseph of Florida.
Reuel leaves 4 grandchildren, Isabella, Teddy, Donna and Dylan.
