Internment of ashes will take place at 3:00pm on Friday, October 7th at California Central Coast Veterans Cemetery. The ceremony will be a short celebration to remember our beloved Bob Cizek. Friends and family are welcome to join but please do not feel obligated as we plan on celebrating Bob’s life in California as well as the Chicago area at a later date.

Robert (Bob) Richard Cizek, age 75, passed away in Nipomo, California on June 10, 2022.
Bob was a veteran, experienced carpenter, composer, musician, and theoretical physics enthusiast. He is survived by his wife, Susan, their son, Matthew Cizek (with wife Kelly Clark Cizek) of Palatine, IL, their daughter, Kate Cizek Curtin (with husband Justin Curtin) of Huntington Beach, CA and five grandchildren, Tommy, Jameson, Margot, Kai and Morgan. He is also survived by his brothers Mark Cizek (with wife Rose Antoni Cizek) and John Cizek along with many friends.
Robert married his beloved wife Susan after meeting in college. They settled down in Schaumburg for 25 years. He was always present at the children's baseball and softball games.
He graduated Main West High School and then went on to attend University of Indiana and University of Illinois Champagne Urbana as a Composition Major.
He worked for 26 years with the Union Pacific Railroad before retiring and moving to Nipomo, California in 2012.
A celebration of life event will be held at a later date. The family asks that loved ones consider a donation to the Michael J. Fox Foundation or American Parkinson Disease Association in Bob's name.
