MILLS, ROBERT (August 4, 1959-December 9, 2019) Robert Mills passed away too soon yet peacefully in the arms of his loving wife and surrounded by loved ones at the age of 60 in Kingston, ON. He is dearly missed by his wife of 34 years, Dawn Mills, their daughter Kayla (Katie) Shoreman, their son Chris Mills and their beloved dog, Briar. He was the adored son of Everett and Elizabeth Mills—and loved by his brother Rick (Gail) Mills, his sister Dawn Mills and their children. Love for him was widespread and he will be missed by friends near and far. He was a known helping hand, who would happily drop anything to fix a leaky pipe, shovel a sidewalk or take a call. Rob was a proud veteran, an avid fisherman, a motorcycle enthusiast, a card shark, but above all--a family man who put as much care into carving the turkey as he did setting up his trailer in the woods. Arrangements for a celebration of his life is being planned for spring and will be shared through Simpler Times and his online memorial through Gathering Us. We know Rob would be honoured if in lieu of flowers, donations were given to Soldier On —an organization that brought him friendship, community and healing through www.soldieron.ca
Ev...very sorry to hear your son passed away. Kathy and I wish we could be with you at this difficult time. We send our prayers and condolences to you and your Family. Mike and Kathy Schell
