Rochelle Falvello Weirich (Age 49)
The amazing mother, loving wife, devoted daughter and daughter-in-law, thoughtful sister, passed away on January 24, 2022.
Rochelle is survived by husband Matt, her soulmate of 22 years, their two children Grace Marie (18) and Tyler Anthony (18), whom she loved with all her heart and considered to be her greatest gifts, and her loving parents Rocco and Mary (nee Romano) Falvello, of Silver Spring, MD and father-in-law, Nevin Weirich, of Manchester, PA.
She was the best sister to Rocco Falvello, and sister-in-law to Kelly (nee Weirich) and Jody Myers, of Manchester, PA, and loved her nephews Grant and Drake Myers. She leaves many friends and colleagues who loved her dearly.
Born in Washington, DC on September 30, 1972, Rochelle graduated from the Academy of the Holy Cross in 1990, and from the Catholic University of America in Washington, DC, with a degree in Architecture in 1994.
She married Matt in 1999, and they lived in Fulton, MD. Rochelle was a superstar at DAVIS Construction, located in Rockville, MD, winning the Metropolitan Subcontractors Association’s project manager of the year two times.
While Rochelle’s performance was notable, more importantly, she was known for her joyful personality that radiated light to all who encountered her. She will be remembered as a well-respected, charismatic, and enthusiastic person who was loved by all. Rochelle was generous with her time and gifts. She was strong, kind, empathetic, and so fun. Despite her cancer diagnosis, she lived her life to the fullest.
Rochelle loved going with Tyler to see live music anywhere it was playing and watching her beautiful daughter, Grace, dance. She loved tennis, pickleball, tailgating, sitting outside by the fire, any kind of competitive game, and going for rides on the Chesapeake Bay on her parent’s boat. Rochelle loved her Boston Terrier Max. Max followed her everywhere.
An excellent cook, she loved to entertain and was quick to make people comfortable with her sense of humor, joy for life, and love of others. She shared her home and her gifts freely with others. She never sought to be in the spotlight but was always willing to help make others' lives better. More than anything else, she loved her family fiercely. She gave them everything and her passing leaves a hole in their hearts and lives. We will love her forever and miss her always. We are all better off for knowing her and having her in our lives.
Due to COVID concerns, a private church service was held for immediate family only.
A Celebration of Life to honor Rochelle will be held on June 6th 2022 from 4pm-7pm at Cattail Creek Country Club in Glenwood MD ( see event page). All are welcome to attend.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Rochelle's honor can be made here - see donation page.
