From birth, Ronzie was loving and caring. He had an adoring love for his mother and even as an adult, he called her mommy, kissed her and held her hand. He was protective of his siblings and family, always standing up for his sisters and intimidating lurking boys. From a young age he was known to be brave and determined. At the age of three, to his family’s surprise, he mastered riding his sister’s 10-speed bike and rode it all the way to his grandmother‘s house blocks away.
Ronzie’s drive and perseverance led him to become a superior student and legendary athlete. He attended Warren Central High School where he accomplished many distinguishable accolades, including achieving an exceptional GPA of 3.8. From 1994-1996 he had a 14 point average/game in Boys Basketball. He was a 1995 All State Football Player and on the 1996 Indiana South All-Star Football Team. He was a Boys Track State Champion in the 4 x 100 Relay in 1996, Boys Track State & Marion County Team Champion in 1995 & 1996, as well as an IHSAA Boys Track Team State Champion 1995 & 1996. Following his successful high school career, he went on to play football at Purdue University and St. Joseph’s College.
After graduating college, he worked at The Hartford for the last twelve years of his career. He was known to his fellow colleagues as professional and dependable, always willing to go the extra mile for his customers. In his pastime, Ronzie was known to be an avid Nike shoe connoisseur with an impressive Air Jordan collection. He enjoyed living life to the fullest, making memories with family and friends, traveling, listening to music and watching ESPN and sports.
Above all else, we will remember Ronzie for his genuine and kind soul. He was accepting of all who crossed his path and never knew a stranger. Ronzie was the bridge connecting different people and different cultures. His smile and laughter warmed the hearts and lifted the spirits of all who surrounded him. He was a supportive, loyal friend who was always willing to lend a listening ear. He was a loving son, brother and husband who treasured time with his family. He was a dedicated and proud father who unconditionally loved his children. The kind of father who would even dress like a donut on Halloween to appease his kids.
His life was a living example of Bible verse, Ephesians 4:32 — “And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, as God has forgiven you through Christ.” Ronzie will be dearly missed, forever cherished in our hearts. May his beautiful soul Rest In Peace.
Ronzie is survived by his wife Michelle; mother Linda; father Ronald; three children: Jamir, Alaina and (bonus son) Che; sisters: Quosia, Sherrell, Tajuana (Stan), Kennetha and a host of loving aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, cousins, and his brothers the Green Team whom he loved dearly.
Please join us in celebrating Ronzie’s extraordinary legacy.

We worked together from your initial training in property and I have to say it was an absolute pleasure. During this time we tackled some of the most challenging disasters this country has seen and we could not have done it with a better man. I consider you more than a friend or coworker, and that sentiment is felt throughout our team. No matter how bad or challenging the day was you always found a way to make us laugh and make it better. There will be a very large void on our team and I know we will never find a more trustworthy, Honest, Hardworking, Professional teammate. You are a one of a kind, and you will be missed. Rest in peace my friend. less

Without question, he was one of the kindest, funniest and most caring individuals I have known. My wife worked on a team with Ron before I started working with him in his most current role. He always asked about her every time we connected. They were close friends and both enjoyed making each other laugh and enjoy the day. Ron knew I was a WVU alumni and was able to get a picture with Gino Smith for me at the Indy airport. We always laughed about him saying "Gino, I've got to get a picture with you for my boss. He's a Mountaineer". I imagine even Gino saw the goodness in Ron in that very brief interaction. My wife and I will miss Ron tremendously. The world is a little less of a good place without him in it. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Mason family and friends. less
