Hopefully if you know Sandy Anderson you have received news regarding her passing. Several Friends and Family members have been trying to get the word out personally. I apologize to anyone who is surprised by this news. Sandy passed on June 20, 2020
On this day the sun would shine for the longest amount of time and with the greatest intensity. It marks the end of one season and the beginning of another. Just as it is for my friend and sister in Christ Sandy Anderson. The season of an earth bound life with all it's blessings and challenges ended and a heavenly season begins.
I had spent more in person time with Sandy this week than usual. We were sorting through things getting ready for her move. On Saturday I texted Sandy a couple times with no reply so I called again no reply. I Checked in, with a couple of others, they had not heard from Sandy. So I called a friend to come with me and check on Sandy. I was prepared in my spirit that there was an incident of some kind, but was uncertain of what I would find. I am sharing this to comfort you and any of your concerning thoughts. Sandy looked completely peaceful. The scene was completely peaceful nothing was out of place, her walker by her bed. She was lying across her bed as she often did. Typically she woke about 4 or so and that was a good time to take her Thyroid medicine and lay back down. There were no signs of distress, phone by her bed plugged in, furniture in place etc. As many if not all of you know Sandy was challenged by health issues. With medical care restrictions due to COVID 19 it complicated follow-up care from Sandy's hospital stay in February and March. Sandy has been contending with health issues for a long time always keeping an eye on prize of Jesus and to fulfill all she wanted to do and be in this earth walk. Life it seemed to be getting more and more difficult however she was looking forward to some medical appointments that would provide some answers and be able to move forward.
With Sandy's passing on Saturday the day before Father's Day, I can imagine Jesus saying Sandy, you have fought the battle of faith I had for you. I now desire you to celebrate Father’s Day with your earthly dad and your heavenly dad.
I am over joyed for Sandy as she is healed no more walker no more pain. I will miss her and I am grateful to have had her in my life and for the many ways God used Sandy in deepening my walk with the Lord.
She was a brave warrior for the Lord and wanted everyone to know and experience the trans-formative LOVE OF JESUS!
In this in between time of planned celebrations I was thinking; one way we can celebrate and honor Sandy is to express the love of Jesus in courageous acts of kindness and humility
"Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way; The Lord be will all of you" 2 Thessalonian 3:16
