Sharon D. Mahaffey 71, passed away on October 4, 2019 in her beloved Murrells Inlet, SC.  She was a lifetime resident of Simpsonville, South Carolina.  She was the daughter of the late T.B. Davenport and Louise Hill Davenport. 

Sharon was a graduate of the 1966 Class of Berea High School, where she was Homecoming Queen and Head Cheerleader.  She was retired from Ventilated Awning as President.  She was a member of the South Greenville Chapter #749 of the Moose Lodge, where she held the Senior Regent office.  

Sharon was survived by two daughters, Lynn (Al) Taylor, Lori (Brad) Garrison, and one son Tripp (Kevin) Mahaffey; three grandchildren Kirstie (Roger) Goolsby, Beklyn (Jessy) Gillespie, and TJ Garrison; and two great grandsons. In addition to, two brothers, Freddy (Martha) Davenport, Donald (Beverly) Davenport, one sister Becky (Ted) Mann.  Eleven nieces and nephews and eighteen great nieces and nephews and many great-great nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by one granddaughter Lalena Lynn Taylor and her beloved fur baby and best friend Bella. 

The family would like to give a special thanks to the Hollings Cancer Center at MUSC, along with two special nurses Michelle and Christy from Tidelands Waccamaw Community Hospital.  

There will be a Celebration of Life held for her family and friends on October 19, 2019 at South and West Venue of Easley; 109 South First Street, Easley, SC 29640 from 12PM - 3PM.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to The Myelodysplastic Syndrome Foundation.
