He is survived by his children Tabatha, Russell, and Alex(Amanda); his soon to be granddaughter Isla; and his siblings Kathy(Stephen) Holick, Kevin(Nancy), and Karen; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brothers Mike and Dennis and his parents Frank and Mary.
Steve was born February 17, 1953 in Great Falls, Montana and was the second of six children. He grew up moving around the country and finally settled in Colorado in 1968, where he was a junior varsity state wrestling champion. He worked as a jack of all trades but was primarily a master paper hanger and was very passionate about his skill. He donated his time and expertise to Alcoholics Anonymous for nearly 31 years as a member, mentor and sponsor to many. But his biggest joy in life was his kids and family.
He loved to spend time outdoors, fishing, camping, and four-wheeling. He enjoyed traveling and working all over the country visiting historical landmarks. He loved to work on cars with his kids. Anybody that knew him knew he was a great cook and storyteller. He was a thoughtful, compassionate, and loyal friend and father figure to many.
A celebration of life service as been scheduled for September 26, 2020 at his home.
