We created a GatheringUs memorial to celebrate the life of Steven Christopher Vann. Collecting your stories and memories here will offer us great comfort. As we plan gatherings, we will post invites. Remember to RSVP to help us plan. Thank you for contributing to this lasting memorial.

He’s been a dear friend of mine for the past decade - since meeting in Iraq. It’s actually in large part because of his advice that I pursued a career in HR when we came back from Iraq. I’m so grateful for all the moments we had together. He invited me to DC over Valentine’s Day a few years back and took me to brunch. We walked the city and he took a bunch of great photos - he always had such a great eye for photography. He also came to Boston to be my date for my company’s holiday party back in 2014. We ended up stupid drunk and getting a ride back to my place with one of be colleagues. The next day we just laid around hungover as all hell. We could go from deep conversations to ridiculous and obnoxious - never a dull moment. I’ll miss him so much but am comforted to know he’s resting easy. Until we meet again, my friend. 💕 less

His generosity is endless and his friendship is timeless. I am forever blessed to have him in my life and thankful for his guidance and love of life. He has touched so many lives and I only have one last favor of him - please put in a good word for me with our Creator. I will see you again when my work on earth is complete. less

He was a brother to me, even though I am 12 years older I looked up to him. This time is devastating to all of us and has personally been hard to work through. He will always live in our hearts. I thank God for the gift of his friendship and council. We have lost a great man. less
Steven was such a wonderful, smart, loving and generous son. My rock and constant throughout our time together. Even though I don't understand...thank you God for letting me have him for 38 years.
