Sylvia was born in 1963 to parents Leslie and Agatha Robinson in Belize, Central America. She was the 8th child of the Robinson’s family. She grew up in Stann Creek Valley and attended Light of the Valley Baptist School.
In her professional career, Sylvia was a teacher for over 20 years before becoming a caregiver when she migrated to Los Angeles, California in 2003 and later on to Seattle, Washington in 2014. Sylvia was recently awarded the 2019 Sound Options Best Caregiver of the Year award.
Sylvia was a dedicated mother first and foremost. She treasured her children and grandchildren, and embraced every moment she spent with them. She especially loved her role as Glamma.
Sylvia was a beautiful, loving, and compassionate woman of God. Whenever you were troubled she would always say:
Always put it in God's hands, for He knows what’s best.
One Life Lived, Many Lives Touched; those who were touched by her will understand that the quality of her existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which she lived. Sylvia had a vivacious personality. We all loved her dearly and will never forget her tenacity, wit, charm, and her irresistible and contagious laughter.

I want to say thank you so much to the family of Sylvia Robinson. This ideas is a beautiful and fitting tribute to such a beautiful, loving, and compassionate woman of God. She brought so much love and joy into so many peoples’ lives and so many families’ lives.
In 2016 she came to help me take care of my husband who was wheelchair bound and had mental difficulties. She not only embraced my husband with loving care, but she also took care of me. I was in a fragile state from caring for my husband 24/7 alone. She lovingly took care of both of us physically, emotionally, and Spiritually. We became friends from day one and remained friends until the end. I thank God for this period of time that he brought Sylvia into my life, the life of my husband, and the lives of our entire family. Each and every person she care for over the years, she loved them, and all the family members of that person. She was incredible!
We were there for each other from the beginning until the end, literally.
We laughed through our pain, we laughed through our sorrows, and when there was nothing to laugh about, we laughed anyway 😂. I have had so many wonderful memories of our fun together and I am grateful just to have known Sylvia.
She was all about her family as well.
She shared beautiful stories about her two children and her beautiful grandchildren. She talk about all her siblings and her beautiful mother. Oh how she loved her family!
She was a real person and a real friend until God took her home to rest. Rest in peace my dear friend. You will always be near and dear to my heart.
I love 💗 you my friend!
