Twila dedicated her career to nursing, hospital administration and teaching, though her true loves were her relationships and baking cookies. Her endless energy will be sorely missed as we will hold her dearly in our hearts.

Dave and I ended up being roommates in a house Twila owned in Cerritos. Twila charged us very very low rent, something I still appreciate as those starting salaries at Rockwell weren't great! Twila treated everyone like family and I was soon a regular guest for monthly meals in Beverly Hills with her and Stuart and Dave and Lisa all the rest of the family.
I don't know what I did to deserve it but Twila would top off her classic meals with a chocolate soufflé when I was there. I loved every bite of those meals.
I would offer to help clean up and Twila would always say no. I would walk out the kitchen and come back 3 minutes later and EVERYTHING would be done just that quick.
When I left California to go to grad school Twila gave me the chocolate soufflé recipe and many other recipes and a set of soufflé dishes. She was always so incredibly thoughtful, generous and loving. I still have them. And I never eat a soufflé without telling the story of those meals and that gift.
We love you Twila and will always and forever remember all the good times we shared. The memories will live on as you left an impression on everyone’s life you touched.
We have a loaf of your banana bread in the freezer, Aunt Twila, which we will thaw out and enjoy in your memory, come memorial day. You left us too early; we miss you down here. But we look forward to reuniting with you when it comes our time to head... moreWe have a loaf of your banana bread in the freezer, Aunt Twila, which we will thaw out and enjoy in your memory, come memorial day.
