Viola loved the Lord and faithfully served her church in various roles right up to the end of her life. She had a extra special place in her heart for the young people.
A highly skilled woman with a fearless entrepreneurial spirit, she was an accomplished seamstress, a caring auxiliary nurse, amazing cook, and so much more. She generously used her many gifts and talents.
Viola was a truly beautiful woman who continued to look amazing right up to her last days. She was fun, adventurous, loved to laugh and always made others feel loved and accepted. She will be sorely missed by many.
Viola now rests awaiting the return of the Lord she so loved.

You carried yourself with such dignity yet you were also so humble. You worked hard and were not afraid to try new things and have new adventures! You strove to be all that God wanted you to be until the very end and this is something that I too want to emulate. No one can replace you in our hearts and we will do our best to keep your legacy alive! Here are some words that came straight to me as soon as I learned you had passed.
Beautiful Grandma Braithwaite
Beautiful Grandma Braithwaite
has laid her head to rest
Set down her crown after 91 years
Our queen, we were so blessed!
Her words of affirmation,
her warmth and childlike fun
Her ‘spick and span’, no ‘can’t’s only ‘can’s
Just a small part of her legacy begun
Such a true woman of beauty ❤️
Sweet yet strong all in one
She carried herself with such dignity and poise
In her heart always carried a song
“I never promised you a rose garden,”
“My Maker and my King”
Just two of the many many songs I recall
She would always joyfully sing
Her ducana and fungi,
cornmeal porridge, and bakes,
Spinach lasagne, fudge and cakes, was there anything she couldn’t make?
So creative and great with her hands
Diligent and so dexterous
From making clothes to curtains and cushions
Like the Proverbs woman, so industrious
But what I’ll remember the most
is the love she and Grandpa shared
Her unwavering devotion to being his wife
Their example of love; a jewel so rare.
Such a legacy of love they have left
Giving hope to generations to come
That when God is your first love
Together your love has won
For all the family she loved,
And the many she adopted as such
Let’s carry on her legacy,
Loving God and each other so much.
For I know she will be looking
For you and I that day,
When Jesus comes to take her home
And gives her a crown for always!

From that day she had a special and permanent part in my heart and I believe I in hers. Her heart was so big and held sooooo much love for those whom she chanced to meet. She was a true Christian woman and a great inspiration. I will miss her. Family, I share in your loss. You have my sincere condolences. I have no doubt it is well with her soul - may it be so with ours also so we will meet her again that day when Jesus returns. less

Her council always wise. Her encouragement a tower of strength.
As I reflected on my experience with Moms Braithwaite I was drawn
to express portions of her loving character and council in the form of the
following poem. Be blessed and encouraged.
Life is like a delicate flower.
We live, we blossom for a while,
Then almost instantly,
We begin to slowly wither, we die.
Therefore in this short, unpredictable life
Let us love each other as instructed by our Father.
Be gently, be patient, be forgiving
For we don't now when it’s our time
To depart from the living.
Encourage one another in faith.
Pray with and for each other
Especially when trouble lurks at the gate.
Support each other as best as you can.
Visit and even lend a helping hand.
Laugh together and just love purely.
For life is like the most delicate flower,
It blossoms today and is gorn tomorrow .
In loving memory of Moms Braithwaite.
Lord help us to love as you did
So we may meet Moms again in Glory Land.

I remembered her as a pleasant and respectful lady with a British ascent. We all shall see her again in that land where we will never grow old or sick. less
