William Bradley Beres, Bill, Billy, Dad, Grandpa, Papa Bear, or Grumpy to those who knew and loved him most, lost his battle with cancer on December 31st, 2020 in the company of his wife and daughter Kelly. He was 71 years young. He is survived by his loving wife and soul mate Tara, his 3 children Kurt, Kelly and Kimberly and his grandchildren, Izzy, Aidan, Charlie, Colin, and Remi.
In life he gave everything to his family. Bill grew up in Cleveland, down the street from Tara where they met and became best friends at Belvoir Elementary School. He attended Cleveland Heights High School and graduated from Sullivan County Community College and Pratt University. In addition to calling Cleveland Home for most of his life, he also lived in New York City and Newburgh, Indiana. During his career he wore several different hats but was probably best known for his years in the food industry. Bill loved to cook, tell tall tales that often had a string of truth, and take his family on weekend adventures. He loved to drive and took his kids on trips to Niagara Falls, Mammoth Caves, and Washington DC to name a few and loved visiting his Southern California family. His smile could light up a room and his laugh will be missed.
Later in life Billy and Tara often travelled, hung out with friends and enjoyed time with children and grandchildren. He and Tara went to Disney World with their daughter Kelly’s family, a cruise with family in celebration of their Daughter Kim’s wedding, and took yearly trips to Kennywood with his Son Kurt and family. He welcomed with open arms his son in-laws Dean and Colin, and adored his daughter in-law Danielle.
But above everything else he was in love to his dying day with his wife Tara. Together they found innumerable ways of saying I love you without using words and it is through their example that their children fell in love and married their own spouses.
