We first heard of the highly esteemed Maaloufs and their international ministry shortly after we moved to Texas 14 years ago. But it wasn’t until 2016, when we were given an opportunity to travel to the Middle East in order to encourage the IMB mission work there, that our friendship began to grow. The Maaloufs were an inspiration in every way as they sought the Lord, leaning not on their own understanding. In spite of their incredibly impressive intellects, they were models of compassion and humility. Their love for each other and for all peoples of the world, especially for refugees and for those in persecuted areas, enlarged our hearts also with the Love of Christ. A special memory we share is when they facilitated Lamis’ nephew, Ayman Jarjour, internationally acclaimed guitarist, to come to the States to perform at SWBTS. How Tony will be missed! Yet we are confident that the legacy of his faith in Christ Jesus will live on, impacting lives for generations to come!
