News of Hugill’s passing reached me this morning. Not the best way to rise in the morning, but I’m glad it reach me.

Hugill was my high school baseball coach back in 96-98. Wow! Talk about energy! Hugill was a baseball machine, and he was very relatable too. The bus rides to and from different schools were always fun. He was always joking with us, sharing baseball stories, and letting us be young men. I loved hearing about his story of when he was sitting next to Ricky Henderson and Jose Canseco. Lol. I didn’t enjoy losing a game with him at the helm though.
