Paul Hilts's Album: Wall Photos

In 2003 my wife Marjorie and I did a trip to the Tour de France and really got to know Tim for the first time. He was using some of his spare time to train for the Leadville 100 mountain bike race. We were recreational riders more interested in the race, food and wine. He never looked down on us as some in his circle are want to do. He always treated us with kindness and I suppose some needed compassion. We became good friends after that and on some of the bike rides we would do around here he would point out various houses or buildings he had designed. I had no idea. It was stunning to see what he had created. No bragging. No self aggrandizement. Just rather matter of fact. We were shocked to learn of his passing. Kind, compassionate, and a true gentle giant. RIP
