I had the great pleasure to be a student of Dr. Schmidt at UC Irvine. I had been inspired by him from the very first class I had with him, which led to a great friendship. He was more than a professor, he was a mentor, an inspiration, and a friend. Even after I was no longer a student, he would keep in touch and he would invite me as a guest speaker in many of his classes. He has guided me through some great moments of my life and I am forever grateful to him. He will always be remembered in my heart. Thank you Dr. Schmidt.
