Musician, Chef, Comedian, Executive. Adam Jason Lewis shared his passions and love of life through all of these things and they don’t come to an end with his death. Though Jason left this world on February 3, 2021, his magnetic spirit continues to pull people into his fold of love and generosity. Jason gave love so freely to all of us every single day. He was one of those people that walked into a room and not only lit up that room, but Jason brought light to all the rooms around it as well.
Born, October 3, 1975 to David Isaac Lewis and Elizabeth Teresa Lewis in Freeport, NY. He was a man of great character, integrity, loyalty, and kindness. Jason graduated St. Joseph High School in Trumbull, CT in 1994. While at St. Joes, Jason found his athletic roots as a track and field student-athlete. Jason went on to graduate from Albertus Magnus College in New Haven CT, with a B.A. in Business Administration. After college Jason found a new love for exercising and staying fit. He participated and won amateur Body Building competitions while he lived in CT.
Those who knew Jason knew that his true love and passion was for music. Jason could play any instrument, piano, guitar, harmonica, and occasionally the drums. As he continued to pursue his passion for music, he joined a local group called Mudfish. Mudfish performed all over Southern CT and Jason’s large soulful voice was backed by the band’s smooth, bluesy rock melodies. That passion continued when he moved to California and Jason remained involved with music as a band member, karaoke singer, and simply jamming with his friends whom shared a kindred spirit in music.
Jason demonstrated how much he enjoyed creating memorable experiences and sharing joy with people through his cooking and love of music. Even in work he was altruistic—he found true excitement in partnering with companies that use state of the art technology to help and heal people.
That was Jason—always ahead of the curve when it came to serving others.
Jason rose above many of life's challenges, often with a smile on his face and a song in his heart. He has now joined his beloved parents who have gone before him. He is survived by his siblings: Michelle Bravo, Michael Lewis, David Lewis Jr., Dale Lewis, Marta Lewis, Rodney Lewis, Darryl Lewis, Arlene Lewis and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. Jason is predeceased by his brother Sherwood Lewis. The love of his life, Steph Jones, also shares in this Jason-sized-hole in all of our hearts.
It is through our stories, laughs, tears, hugs, celebrations and music, that we will be connected to Jason forever and will continue sharing his light in the world.
