“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me a crown of righteousness…” 2 Timothy 4:7-8
Ana was such a special person in so many ways to so many different people. We wanted to create space for you to share what Mom meant to you. How she impacted your life, and share stories to keep her present in our minds and hearts as we journey through this transition together.
On the morning of December 11th, 2020 Ana Yansi Gutierrez, loving wife, and mother of four children went home to be with the Lord at the age of 60. Ana was born on November 19th, 1960 in Costa Rica to Cecilia and Joaquin Carballo. She was married to Rodolfo Gutierrez on December 5th, 1987. They raised three sons, David, Enoc, Esteban, and one daughter, Rebecca.
Sweet Ana loved to laugh. Any time the opportunity would present itself she would take the time to giggle, smile, and enjoy the moment. She would say, "the joy of the Lord is my strength," and she really meant it. With her love of laughter came spending time with those she held so dear, playing Parcheesi, and cards, sitting in the living room together watching Hallmark Christmas movies, sipping coffee, and serving so many delicious meals to loved ones. She greatly enjoyed imparting important life lessons while doing any activity. She had a lovely sense of humor, an infectious smile, and a kind and compassionate spirit.
Ana had a passion for the Lord and really desired to serve Him with her whole heart; whether it was spending time in prayer and intercession, studying the Bible, sharing Jesus with a person while out and about, or encouraging a young wife to truly contend for her beloved, people who truly knew Ana, knew that she loved the Lord. She seemed to always bring light with her wherever she went.
Her favorite holiday was Christmas, and it is so special that we get to celebrate her graduation to heaven on her very favorite holiday. Let's celebrate this special lady as she spends Christmas with the Son of God, the Prince of Peace, allow that thought to comfort you as we are witnesses to a life well-lived.
Ana is preceded in death by her mother Cecilia, father Joaquin, sister Damaris, and baby daughter Daniela. She is survived by her siblings in Costa Rica; Jose, Lorena, and Yamileth. Her husband Rodolfo, her children David, Enoc, Steven, Rebecca, and Miciah, grandchildren Daniel, James, Adalynn, and Graham, as well as many other dearly loved family members.
A virtual Memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 19th, 2020.
Flowers or donations may be sent to their home in Boise Idaho.
