Charles Andrew Golightly, died suddenly on Friday, May 3, 2019 at his home in Azle, Texas from an undetermined cause. He was preceded in death by five of his siblings: 2 brothers, James and Ramon and 3 sisters Martha, Christine and Kathy.
He leaves his ex-wife of 25 years, Tania Colene (Buckingham) Golightly; his son, Charles Laffette Golightly; his daughter, Mary Jo Golightly and son-in-law, Johnathen James Oliver; his sister, Dorothy (Golightly) Michael and brother-in law, Kenneth Michael; two grandchildren; Aaron Nathen Oliver and Bronson Andrew Oliver and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Born and raised in Seymour, Texas, the son of Laffette and Josie Golightly, he was a lifelong resident of the Dallas/Fort Worth area.
Charles worked for greater than 40 years in aerospace. He had a passion for air planes and after retiring he spent most of his time fishing and caring for animals.
Charles chose not be have a funeral and always wanted to be remembered as he was alive; happy, thankful, selfless and full of love for everyone. He was a contributor to many lives and would help anyone who needed him. He loved God and believed he had a place in heaven and often spoke of how he imagined it.
