Some of us met Liz in person, some knew her only through social media, but each of us cared for her and are stunned and saddened by her passing. This is a place to share your memories, feelings, and the impact Liz had on your lives. This memorial page is not affiliated with Liz's immediate family, who are also in our thoughts. Thank you.

Here is the link to the lovely official obituary for Liz. In the days since Liz left us we have all been talking about her impact on our lives. She met with many of us in person. Whenever she did it was obvious her extended group of friends all over the country (and in other countries) were important to her. Whether near or far she was invested in our lives, rooted our success, encouraged our passions, and was there to listen when we were down. She was a constant friendly face on many of our social media feeds.
She was the connective tissue that bonded many of us who have gone on to create meaningful and important friendships. These friendships and bonds are a legacy she leaves that will carry us through this sad time. As we all laughed, learned, and shared our lives together we are now grieving together for the person many considered the glue who bonded us. Always there with a laugh, or a kind word. Gestures like encouraging the sending of cards to a sick friend, mailing small presents for birthdays or when someone was down, even funding our charities and projects. Always generous when she didn't need to be. Always looking out for others. So many "Liz" things that are now missing.
Many who are reading this met Liz through AfterElton, a website she was a big fan of. She shared our love for culture, camp, fashion, and entertainment. She was arguably the sites biggest cheerleader and fan. This is why PFLAG is listed here as a place to donate in memory of Liz. Liz was a true ally in every sense of the word and a great friend to the LGBTQ community.
Please share your memories of Liz here. Let's grieve together, share memories together, and lift each other up in the way Liz would have wanted. A piece of her will live on in all of us.
