OBITUARY
Ellen R. Trevarthen, 69, long-time resident of the Los Angeles area, died Monday, April 22, 2019 at Kaiser-Sunset Medical Center.
She is survived by four brothers: Robert Raufman and wife, Janis; David Raufman; Allen Raufman and wife, Suzanne; Harvey Raufman and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

She is survived by four brothers: Robert Raufman and wife, Janis; David Raufman; Allen Raufman and wife, Suzanne; Harvey Raufman and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Ellie graduated from Stony Brook University in New York. She continued her education with a Master of Science degree from University of Redlands.
Ellie worked 25 years with Jet Propulsion Lab (JPL) in Pasadena, CA in a variety of positions. Most recently she worked with the Operations, Networking and Cypersecurity teams, as a systems analyst and technical writer. One of the high points of her career was the development of the NASA.gov public website.
From a young age, Ellie was a high-energy person. She enjoyed outdoor activities, like rafting in the Grand Canyon, as well as touring continental Europe and England. She had a ready smile and easy laugh that brightened any room. She shared her musical talent singing with the JPL Chorus, Donald Brinegar Singers and the Self-Realization Fellowship Glendale Temple Choir. Ellie loved meditation, art and culture, and enjoyed volunteer-work at the Self-Realization Temple in Pasadena and Glendale. She loved her SRF and JPL families. She will be dearly missed by all.
The Memorial Service will be held at 12:30 p.m., Sunday, May 19th, 2019 at the Glendale Temple of Self-Realization Fellowship, 2146 E. Chevy Chase Dr., Glendale, CA 91206.

Ellie was the only girl in a family of 5 children but was one of a kind...she deeply touched the lives of those she loved and was a blessing to humanity.
