On Tuesday, November 19^th, 2019, Gayle Charlene Peterson, loving wife and mother of two children, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family in Wetmore, Colorado at the age of 70. 

Gayle was born on August 2^nd, 1949 in Superior Wisconsin to James and Martha (Schnook) Richison.

Gayle was united in marriage to Glenn Michael Peterson on July 6^th, 1968.  They celebrated 51 years of marriage before her passing.

Gayle was a successful business owner with a passion for spreading humor, reading books, playing cards, tending to her flowers, and sharing life’s most precious moments with friends and family over several cups of coffee. She loved her pups Frankie, Fannie and Georgia. She was known for her quick wit, her infectious smile, and her kind and compassionate spirit.

Gayle was preceded in death by her mother Martha and her father James. 

Gayle is survived by her loving husband Glenn, her devoted daughters Dawn (Jared) and Dana (Sean), her siblings James, Cecil, Robert, Ceil, Doris, Thomas, and Ardelle, and her four beautiful grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren. 

A memorial for close family and friends will be held on a date and location yet to be determined.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are being accepted to further support the creation and maintenance of "Gayle's Garden." "Gayle's Garden" will be a small flower garden created on Gayle and Glen's property, located in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. Gayle had a strong passion for gardening, and loved tending to her flowers throughout the year. "Gayle's Garden" will allow all who loved her with a meaningful opportunity to remember Gayle's life...a life well lived!
