On December 1st, 2019, John Joseph Spadafora passed away at the age of 67. He was born at St. Albans Hospital in Queens, NY, on February 29th–Leap Year–1952 to Frances Rose Bartolotti and Giovanni (John Sr.) Alfred Spadafora. He grew up in the Bronx and lived in Marietta, Georgia, since the early '90s.
He was preceded in death by his mother, and his former wife Maxine "Jackie" (mother of Ashley). He was survived by his beloved wife Deirdre “Dee”, his father John Sr., his daughter Ashley "Hannah" Spadafora, his step-daughter Heidi (Jason) Davies, step-son Ryan (Brittany) Paruta, four grandsons, his brothers Paul (Jayne) and Stephen (Joette), and many close cousins, nieces, and nephews.
For the last ten years, John and his wife, Dee, owned and operated a New York-style food truck which served events and festivals in the Atlanta metro area and North Georgia Mountains. They were regular vendors at antique and craft shows and well known in Dahlonega and Braselton.
John loved to spend a couple days a week with his wife and father, having what they lovingly called “Old People Day” with their grandson Rowan. John loved nothing more than going on cruises with his wife, and enjoying their cabin in the North Georgia Mountains together. John took care of his family before anything else, and is loved and respected immensely.
John was loved by everyone he met, and attracted all sorts of friends everywhere he went, including any and all transplanted New Yorkers in Georgia! He is already so missed.
