Trabajé en la misma oficina con el por los últimos 12 años, y siempre fue una persona... moreMi más sentido pésame a la toda la familia de José por su fallecimiento, todavía no me hago a la idea de que nos dejó y creo que me va a tomar un buen tiempo. Trabajé en la misma oficina con el por los últimos 12 años, y siempre fue una persona muy dedicada a su trabajo y muy amable con todas las familias y estudiantes que llegaban a nuestra oficina. Desde Marzo 2020 que trabajamos desde la casa, nos hablamos por teléfono continuamente por trabajos que estabamos haciendo, la última vez que hablé con el fue el día que lo hospitalizaron y habló con mucha dificuldad. Su recuerdo estará siempre con todas las personas que lo conocimos. Se le va a extrañar less

Your jokes and teasings always lightened and brightened up my mood each time. You set the standard. You made us all feel at home, wanted, appreciated, and needed in our work family. Don Jose, thank you for all that you generously shared. You are already so painfully missed. I wish your family and dear friends can find comfort in the loving memories you gave us all. De salida entré a su oficina y usted me habló tan bien del grupo de personas con quien trabajaba y me animo. Un año después entre como mentora al Language Minority Affairs Office. He always had a friendly smile and a warm greeting, always ready to help, and he exuded calm and peace. That is so needed in the world today. We were so fortunate to have him be at the heart of our welcome center for so many years. His dedication to his work and to our students and families helped so many to better understand a new school system in a new country and most importantly to feel welcomed with warmth on Day 1.

Aun me cuesta pensar que ya no está con nosotros físicamente. Sin embargo, su recuerdo y las memorias hermosas que nos deja jamás se borraran de nuestra mente y de nuestro corazón. Para mi más que un compañero de trabajo era familia y un hermoso recordatorio de que a pesar de todo lo malo siempre hay que sonreírle a la vida. Siempre admire su dedicación a su trabajo y a servirle al prójimo, no solo porque era un hombre responsable, pero porque era un hombre de fe. Jamás olvidare sus lecciones y su ejemplo de vida y le doy gracias a Dios por haberlo puesto en mi camino. Seguiremos aquí, honrando su memoria y siguiendo su ejemplo de hacer el bien sin mirar a quien. Que su memoria viva en los corazones de todos aquellos que ayudo y que descanse en paz.

May God gives you strength, peace, and comfort during this difficult time. I worked with José for almost 21 years. I just remember that we talked a week before I found out he was hospitalized. We always talked about God, and the Bible, and gave each other positives messages in this horrible time we're living in, but we knew that God was and is under control.

I worked with Jose for over 30 years in DCPS and he was one of the kindest person that I have ever met. Always had the wonderful greeting of Good Morning accompanied with a smile to everyone in the office. He made all of the new families to the US feel special and always guided them onto their next steps. I will truly miss Jose.
