Kenneth, affectionately known as Kenny or ‘Lil Kenny was soft-spoken but firm and passionate about most things. As a kid, the family resided in Northeast Baltimore with his two brothers, Keith and Kendall. Kenny attended Baltimore City public schools. He went to Northeast Middle School and graduated from Mergenthaler High School in 2002, majoring in CAD/drafting.
Kenny attended Lincoln School of Technology where he learned electrical skills that augmented his work at Mastec where he worked as a dedicated data integration installer.
As a kid, Kenny was an avid lover of soccer, baseball, and basketball. Every year he attended a summer day camp called Police Athletic League (PAL). When Kenny became age-eligible, he worked at PAL for several summers. His parents kept him occupied with sports, duckpin bowling league, and spending a weekend in the woods with Outward Bound.
This still, however, did not curb his rebellious streak. Like most teens, Kenny had a mind of his own, but this is what shaped his love of music, mainly rap. He was passionate about rap and his parents sent him to Sheffield Institute for Recording. This gave him the background he needed to grow his craft and had a tremendous impact on his music career and sanctioned his love for recording and making beats.
Kenny was committed to his friends and shaped relationships that lasted a lifetime. He started his first group MS (Murder Squad) and began to form his extended family of brothers to mentor. They soon added more members and changed the name to HBZ (Head Bangers). KID was the CEO and made countless mixtapes and albums from 2003-2015.The group was signed to Public Figga, a compilation with Warren (Dub) Rich and also Steele’s Bars entertainment. He later signed with MAM records and dropped his solo album G$$90’s.
He then formed his own label R&S records (Rhythm & Sound Records) and formed BBK (Baltimore Born Kings) with his current work All Day like Sade. He also formed R&S Films and designed multiple clothing lines and merchandise. Kenny was a master at his craft. Kenny was a loving person and always made the family events. He was the grill master at most of them with his famous “wing” recipe that he passed on to his younger brother Kendall.
Kenny met Elonda through a friend in November 2010. Kenny had a charismatic style that made him stand out from everyone else. The passion and love they had for each other evolved into a beautiful marriage on September 12, 2015. The two of them enjoyed traveling, gardening, dancing around the house, both have a love of music (but Kenny was the artist), and doting on their dog Jax and cat, Jubi.
Kenny leaves to cherish his memory his wife Elonda Rich, his father Kenneth W. Rich Sr, his mother Valerie Yvette Rich, two brothers Keith Rich (Christina) and Kendall Rich (Shania) one niece Maya Rich; a loving aunt Beatrice Meekins; a host of close cousins, and a host of lifetime friends.
