Her consistency, drive, and passion for what ever was in front of her was always evident. Even when things were challenging, she would always seem to have a positive attitude about it. I was not only someone in Lori's leadership chain, but also a mentor, advocate, sounding board, and friend. I never knew what was coming when Lori called, but whatever the challenge or celebration or greeting, it was good to hear about what was going on and her interest in my circumstances as well. She and I share a passion for justice, which could get us in trouble sometimes. However, her compassion for others made those situations learning or doing moments that she grew from and I did as well.
One of my favorite memories was on a team building activity with the Redmond Concierge team. We had gone to a local escape room and worked together with other team members to tackle two of their rooms. One of them, "Mona Lisa Heist", was very heavily based in art. As many of you know, Lori spent some time in Europe and had a passion for art. This came in handy, as she flew through the art content while others worked on the pattern or math puzzles. Our team actually broke the facility record for that room (~27 minutes) and much of that was due to Lori's knowledge and persistence. If you want to understand how someone ticks under pressure, take them to an escape room!

We bonded immediately - sharing stories of the *right way* things should be done and commiserating over work challenges that could have been solved with 'an ounce of prevention.' Lori possessed a mastery of her craft and was willing to share that knowledge with anyone at anytime. I often enjoyed asking a question on how she thought a problem could be addressed and realizing hours later that she was only half way through a dissertation that flowed off the top of her head as easily as you and I might talk about our hobbies. In fact, asking Lori about her hobby of photography spurred the best conversations - she loved the ability to control every nit of a photograph and would tell stories about trying new lenses and renting new camera bodies to expand her horizons. I look forward to finding her artwork in the future and remembering her impact on us and everyone she touched. You are missed, Lori. less

Whether that be in problem solving, life goals, or interests. I went through a really rough patch a few years ago and she was so understanding and easy to open up with. We've worked together on projects and I went with her to a couple appointments. Getting to know her I found she was a strong fighter. She fought for both herself and for others. She does not stand down until a satisfactory resolution is in place. I saw this in both work situations and with how she took as much control as she could of her medical care. I've learned so much from her about using my voice, something I've always struggled with. We connected on our love of long drives, taking photos of old barns, helicopters and hot air balloons. Staying still wasn't something she enjoyed so I'm sure that wherever she is, she is off on an adventure and able to enjoy it to the fullest once again. Sending all of my love to Lori's friends and family. less

The last I heard from her is that she is still enjoying her project and doing well. Lori impressed me the first time I see her in person when I deliver food to her home after she had the brain surgery. She was very up-beat. She asked me to check out her blog. I only realized how severe the treatment journey was, after reading hwe blog. Lori, you are a very strong fighter, and an inspiration to all. less

One time we were working a project in Albuquerque and took a side trip to Santa Fe for a few hours. She was killed with a camera, and I have posted a photo she took of the evening sunlight shadowing between posts of a building. Rest in peace my friend, I loved your company. less

After having the opportunity to work with Lori on a very challenging client sharepoint project for a short-time, I considered her a friend and confidant. I will miss our IM chats and our 'Got a Minute to Talk' sounding boards and vent sessions that we used to help each other through the craziness of our clients expectations. I will remember her for her strength, dedication, humor, and amazing care for her clients and teams even with all she was going through in her personal life. She will be missed. less

I was immediately impressed with the depth of her knowledge, her problem-solving skills and her energy and desire to get problems fixed as quickly as possible. After that, I would recommend that we bring Lori into every complex technical challenge that we faced. Lori was a hard-driving, quality focused consultant who always fought to do the right thing as she saw it. Lori did not have an energy dial, she only had a switch: when she was on, she was on 100%. I tried to make sure she didn't overwork on our challenging projects, but I never saw her dial back. Lori and I would frequently talk - first about client/project issues, but also on other more personal topics. We both shared an interest in photography and we'd talk about that quite a bit. I am deeply saddened by the loss of Lori. She was a great colleague and an interesting, challenging, funny, dynamic personality. I shall miss her greatly. less

When Lori came on to the project the team was worn out from the complexities of the work and Lori brought a fresh perspective. She dove in right away to work on the biggest challenges that we had been struggling with. Anyone that knows Lori knows that when she faces a challenge she can't solve she reaches out to everyone in her network for help. She did just that. Her persistence paid off and she was able to find a configuration change that helped move the project forward. After that project we shared experiences on our projects and often collaborated on SharePoint issues were facing on our projects. I will miss her random pings / emails and her sarcastic humor. less

There are a number of stories I can tell but the one that stands out was her accessibility and desire to jump into the most challenging problems head first. Lori was ALWAYS available no matter how early, late or how well or poorly she was feeling. She was an exceptional consultant that kept her clients front and center and even better person. I will miss her IM's, texts, and emails asking for "a few minutes to chat" at all hours of the day and night...she will be missed. less
