Lynn (LeBeck) Laatsch was born June 22, 1960 in Oshkosh, WI, a surprise four minutes after her twin sister Lori. She passed away unexpectedly December 23, 2018 at her home in Winter Haven, FL. Growing up, Lynn loved being a farm kid – going to the fair, showing bunnies for 4-H and playing in the barn. They did everything as a family, from playing cribbage to cleaning out the horse stalls on Sunday. In high school she developed as a talented artist, drawing, painting and making jewelry.
At 17, several months before graduating from Oshkosh West High School, she gave birth to her pride and joy, Jessica Lynn. Together they lived in Oshkosh, visiting the park, hanging out with friends and watching made-for-tv movies. Lynn was known in Oshkosh for her fun spirit, amazing pool game and ability to make friends with anyone, a trait she inherited from her dad.
In 2009 she moved to Sebring, FL after the death of her father. There she contributed time, talents and friendship at American Legion Post 69 and Heartland Christian Church. For the past four years she lived in Winter Haven where she met her fiancé Tim. She loved her garden, helping her neighbors, playing Scrabble with her mom and crab leg night with Tim.
Lynn will be remembered by so many as fun, generous, creative, resourceful and hard working. She had many dear friends, but was also able to strike up a conversation with anyone she met. She struggled financially for most of her life, but shared everything she had. She lived life her own way and left a trail of smiles behind her. Everyone who knew her has a song (or two) that will forever remind them of Lynn.
Lynn was preceded in death by her father (Jerome LeBeck) and brother (Lenny LeBeck). She is survived by her fiancé Tim Cone; mother Beverly (Dave Nuske) LeBeck; sister Lori (Terry) Pease; daughter Jessie (Dave) Summerfield; granddaughters Casey, London and Gigi; nieces Jen (Josh) Mundt and Katie (Mike) Croninger; sister-in-law Kathy Seelow; nephews Chanse, Landon and Jeramy LeBeck; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; and countless friends.
Monetary donations will assist the family with funeral costs and support charities close to Lynn’s heart.
