Marcia Lee Brown, 76, of Bartlett, Tennessee, departed this life Sunday, December 20, 2020 at St. Francis Hospital Bartlett.
Marcia was born on February 8, 1944 in Topeka, Kansas, the youngest of three daughters born to Eldridge and Neva Goss. The family moved to Pryor, Oklahoma in 1947, where she grew up and graduated high school. She remained in Northeastern Oklahoma, where she worked and raised her family, until the death of her husband Jacky in 2011.
After the loss of her husband, she moved to Tennessee in 2012, to be near her daughters and granddaughters. She loved staying busy, meeting people and being involved in her community, and she made those things happen by volunteering and sitting on the board of St. Francis Hospital-Bartlett, sitting on the board of her neighborhood homeowner's association and singing in the choir at St. Ann Catholic Church. Her family and friends meant everything to her and spending time with them was her greatest joy. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Marcia is preceded in death by her husband Jacky Brown; parents Eldridge Goss and Neva Goss; and sister Patty Rider. She is survived by her daughter Diane Waymon and husband Greg of Bartlett, Tennessee, grandchildren Hayden, Kendall and Avery; daughter Christine Ragatz and husband Bill of Bartlett, Tennessee, grandchildren Devon and Danni; son Lee Brown and wife Janet of Port Neches, Texas, grandchildren Logan and Katherine; daughter Stacy Cliver and husband Matthew of Aledo, Texas, grandchildren Brannan, Zane and Jacob; and sister Kay Calvert of Pryor, Oklahoma.
