Melissa, also known as Mel, Melly, Mimi or Missy. She was born in Tustin, CA to Jessie Gonzales and Evelyn Ortiz.
She was creative, loved traveling and was spiritual minded, she was studying the bible and making a friend with Jehovah God. She especially loved her family and her friends. Melissa enjoyed spending time with her family, always checking on her parents and grandparents to be sure they were taken care of. As an older sibling she looked after her brother, Michael and sister Jessika as if they were still children, because she loved them and always wanted the best for them.
She especially loved spending time with her nephews, Mikey and Dax, who she adored and showered them with affection. She loved being an aunt and taking pictures and silly videos of them or even surprising families with her videos which brought much joy and laughter to her and others. She would also be sure to visit her family in Texas because that was important for her to be around those she loved, far or near. Melissa's first trip was to the Dominican Republican, after that wonderful trip, her goal was to get her whole family to go on a trip together so she could share the beauty with her family and they could also experience what she had. She had a big heart in this way and many other moments. One of her many quotes she liked was "Smile, Love and Always Do What's Right." One of her last sayings was "Never Take a day for granted." She was a Fibromyalgia warrior and also supported The Lupus Foundation.
Survived by her Parents, Evelyn Ortiz and Jessie Gonzales, Brothers Markie Gonzales, Michael Gonzales, his son, Mikey Gonzales, sister, Jessika Gonzales, her son, Dax Navarro, her Grandparents, Adam and Sally Garcia and Otillia Gonzales. She was loved by her Uncles, Aunts, Cousins and Nephews.
