We are a full-service wildlife teaching hospital and rehabilitation facility that cares for native wildlife by treating animals in need and by educating citizens on how to protect animals and their habitat in perpetuity. With these two goals, we aim for greater native biodiversity and healthy ecosystems for the benefit of all living things. less

In my memories of Peter, well, I do remember him and Mary as little children. My dad and mom and the rest of stayed with you for a small while in Denver, CO (or somewhere out in that area) when we first moved to Colorado from New Mexico back in 1977. Both of them were so precocious and full of energy! After that we lost touch for a while but your family ended moving back to Great Falls, VA, when Bill had a construction business. I moved to VA in 1986 and came to visit you at some point. I remember Peter helping Bill and going with him to help build homes. I vividly remember that home!! I remember the wonderful Thanksgiving dinners you prepared and I attended a few there. (Thank you so much for your hospitality). Then after Bill passed away, I probably saw Peter a few times there but my most recent memories was when he lived with you in that corner townhome next door to Mary and her family. I'd go visit Mary and Peter would come over and have drinks with us. After 9-1-1 in NYC, Peter went with me to a Benefit Concert at the old Kennedy Stadium. It was really fun and Peter and I rocked out to the likes of Steven Tyler, Michael Jackson, the Backstreet Boys, Bette Midler, Mariah Carey, James Brown and more. Peter was working for the Red Cross and we talked about biological warfare and he was up to speed on all the possible ramifications if it occurred and other statistics. He was an intelligent and intellectual, thoughtful person. He will be greatly missed but he is with his dad now and in a happy place. Good-bye Peter and godspeed to you in the next world! "Remember, O Lord, the God of Spirits and of all Flesh, those whom we have remembered and those whom we have not remembered, men of the true faith, from righteous Abel unto to-day; do thou thyself give them rest there in the land of the living, in thy kingdom, in the delight of Paradise, in the bosom of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, our holy fathers, from whence pain and sorrow and sighing have fled away, where the light of thy countenance visiteth them and always shineth upon them." less
