Our dear friend and colleague Simon finished his 10 year dance with cancer and died peacefully in his brothers company last night.
We have all experienced some or many of Simons talents from professionalism to playfulness and the full spectrum in between creating many stories that will be indelibly stamped in our memories and will continue to be retold in his absence.

Our dear friend and colleague Simon finished his 10 year dance with cancer and died peacefully in his brothers company last night.
We have all experienced some or many of Simons talents from professionalism to playfulness and the full spectrum in between creating many stories that will be indelibly stamped in our memories and will continue to be retold in his absence.
It is typical of Simon to choose the middle of a pandemic, ignore Jacinda’s rules and escape the lock down well before the rest of us. Of course it also means no funeral which again is exactly what Simon wanted so he has made sure we will respect his wishes.
Simon is heading “up the hill” to a location he has chosen on the port hills giving him a commanding view from which to keep a careful watch over us.
