Steven Michael, 50, of Rockville, Connecticut passed away on Saturday June 1, 2019 after a courageous battle with cancer at Rockville General Hospital.He was born in Rockville, which he called home most of his life. He is the son of Carmelo and Theresa DiMauro of Rockville. He was the husband to Marie DiMauro of Rockville for 23 years. Steven was extremely devoted to caring for his parents. He was born in Rockville, which he called home most of his life. He is the son of Carmelo and Theresa DiMauro of Rockville. He was the husband to Marie DiMauro of Rockville for 23 years. Steven was extremely devoted to caring for his parents. Steven was also step-father to the light of his life, Emily Sexton of Rockville.
In addition to his parents, wife, and step-daughter, Steven is survived by his sisters and brother: Susan Wright of Florida; Paula Carrington and her husband Bruce of Florida; Rosemary Buser of Rockville; David DiMauro and his wife Heidi of Maine; and Henrietta Vaughn of Vernon; several nieces and nephews, cousins, and beloved friends. He is predeceased by his sister, Sharon E. White, and brother, Michael DiMauro.
For many years Steven worked as a carpenter and a mason and was very good at what he did. He enjoyed bowling, playing pool, and golfing. He loved football where he was passionate for the San Francisco 49ers. He was a communicant of St. Bernard Church in Rockville, Connecitcut.
A grave-side service is being planned in the next couple months and will be followed by a Celebration of Life. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.
