Vera McDonald of Denver, Colorado, passed away peacefully at St Lukes Hospital in Kansas City on September 27, 2019. Vera Mc Donald was born to Grace and Clifford Jackson, April 29, 1946, in Denver Colorado. Vera was one of six children which all preceded her in death; Clarence Pierce Sr., Chicago Ill, Donald Pierce, Shreveport LA, Thomas Jackson, Al (Freddy) Jackson and Brenda Brown, Denver CO.
Vera was married to Jesse McDonald 56 years and out of this union came five children. Lenore Gueste, Temecula CA (Joseph Gueste), Cynthia Brown, Denver CO (Henry Brown), Anthony McDonald, Denver CO, Jesse McDonald Jr., Denver CO both preceded her, and Jesse McDonald Jr. II, Denver CO.
Vera moved to California in January 1977; where she attended Chaffey College to receive an accounting degree. She came to know the Lord personally while living in California at New Hope C.O.G.I.C while serving in the capacity of deaconess, missionary and evangelist.
Vera returned to Colorado in 1987 to be with her mother Grace Jackson which, was terminally ill. After the passing of her mother, she as a loving wife, relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada to be with her mother in love Viola McDonald. Vera and the family returned again to Colorado in 2011, due to her only sister being diagnosed with cancer. Vera joined Landmark Baptist Church 2016; once she returned to Colorado and continued serving as an evangelist.
Vera is survived by her husband Jesse McDonald, Daughters Lenore Gueste and Cynthia Brown, Son Jesse McDonald Jr. II, sixteen grandchildren and twenty-six great grandchildren.
Vera loved to sing and one of her favorite songs was Walk With Me Lord. She finally gets to experience her song by being with the Lord in heaven.
